The club will not meet in June or July. Activities will resume in August with a membership tea for women interested in becoming members of the organization.
The group will celebrate its 25th anniversary in September.

Slidell Women's Republican Club celebrated its silver anniversary with a banquet Sept. 26 at Pinewood Country Club.
Club co-founder Bette Simpson recalled the club's origination 25 years ago, when "there were just a few of us in St. Tammany at that time."
"I believe we had five Republican women at our first meeting," Simpson said.
Two weeks after the club's initial meeting, the group had already doubled in size and written and adopted bylaws.
Leaders of the club during the past 25 years who were recognized during the silver anniversary celebration were past presidents Simpson, Anne Flotte, Faye Holmgren, Wilma Dickey, Terry Plescia, Joy Dunn, Cathy Palmer and Carol Thurston.
A special plaque presentation was made to Terry Rowe in memory of his wife, the late Norma Rowe, who was the club's co-founder.
Simpson received additional recognition from current club President Lynn Bowers, who presented the organization's co-founder with a plaque of recognition.
Now leading the 45-member organization are the following officers: Bowers, Vice President Bette Simpson, Recording Secretary Ethel Watts, Corresponding Secretary Terry Plescia and Treasurer Susan Morris.
Committee chairwomen are Marge Decrevel, immediate past president; Sandra Williams, campaign; Joy Dunn, program; Cathy Palmer, membership; Elizabeth Schneider, newsletter editor; Pat Himber, telephone; Joan Holmes and Denise Sieger, hospitality; Janell Ward and Gardner Kole, ways and means; June Erickson, legislative; Alice Musgrave, senior citizens; Marguerite Scogin, historian; Camille Burch, historian; Simpson, parliamentarian; and Jean Werner, publicity.
Guest speakers for the evening were U.S. Rep. Bob Livingston and Secretary of State Fox McKeithen.
